Ice Storm Update: Monday, March 31, 2025
The Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula continues to respond to the impacts of the recent ice storm. We appreciate your continued patience and support as crews work to clear debris and restore services.
CURRENT ROAD CLOSURES (due to downed power lines, cables, and storm debris):
- Lindsay Road 30 – Cable down.
- Tower Road – Multiple broken poles and downed power lines.
- Elgin Street – Cable down.
- Crane Lake Road – Trees down over hydro lines.
- Byron Street – Downed line.
- Cape Hurd Road from Highway 6 to McArthur - Multiple broken poles and downed power lines.
Safety Reminder: Please stay clear of all road operation crews and equipment. Clean-up and restoration work can be dangerous, and your safety—as well as the safety of our workers—is our top priority.
Landfill Access:
The landfill is open to receive garbage and storm-related debris. Please use this service to dispose of fallen branches, spoiled food, or other storm damaged materials.

Monday, March 31 - Eastnor 10am - 4pm
Wednedsay, April 2 - St. Edmunds 9am - 5pm
Friday, April 4 - Lindsay 9am - 5pm
Saturday, April 5 - Eastnor & St. Edmunds 9 am - 5pm
Sunday, April 6 - Lindsay 9am - 5pm

Carbon Monoxide Safety:
With increased generator and alternate heat source use, please remember:
- Never run a generator indoors or in enclosed spaces like garages.
- Ensure carbon monoxide detectors are working properly.
