Volunteer Recognition

The Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula's Annual Volunteer Recognition Day is a time to recognize the voluntary achievements and contributions made in the community. Individuals and Organizations can recognize a member, executive, team, team player, coach, parent, group, or supporter who deserves an expression of your appreciation.

Volunteer Recognition Policy

The purpose of this policy is to provide a guiding framework for Council to recognize volunteers whose efforts have contributed significantly to the quality of life in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula. This policy relates to individuals that are residents of the Municipality, owners of a business in the municipality or attend school in the municipality acting in a volunteer capacity that provide programs and services to the residents of the Municipality to help enrich their quality of life.

Nominating a Volunteer

To nominate a volunteer, individuals/organizations are invited to submit a form including information about the volunteer's achievement, type of involvement and level of impact on the community. 

Award Categories for the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula are:
  • Accessibility Award
  • Arts & Culture Award
  • Environment Award
  • Sports and Recreation Award
  • Good Neighbour Award
  • Northern Bruce Peninsula Community Builder Awards (adult 26 and over, youth 25 and younger) 
  • Outstanding Community Group Award

Deadline for submission: Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 12 (Noon)
