Apply for a Food Truck Licence!
A step-by-step Food Truck Application Guidebook is available to assist applicants through the online application process. Food Trucks are only permitted to operate in Commercial Zones following the issuance of a licence.
A "Food Truck” shall mean any vehicle, trailer, tent cart or other structure designed to be made mobile and not placed on a foundation and is equipped for the storage, preparation and sale of food, beverages and confections and where such items are offered for sale directly to the public for consumption outside and includes chip wagons, mobile canteens and any other similar mobile refreshment vehicle.
Food Trucks may only be permitted as an accessory use to the principal use on a commercially zoned property.

Fire Inspection Report - Food trucks are required to have a third-party inspection of their kitchen systems to ensure that they meet the requirements of NFPA 96: Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations. The final inspection reports for compliance with NFPA 96 are to be presented to Northern Bruce Peninsula Fire & Emergency Services Fire Chief prior to a fire inspection taking place at the food truck. |

Following the submission of a complete application, a bill will be issued for the Licence Fee on Cloudpermit.

A licence holder may apply to the Licence Issuer for permission to have their licence transferred to another owner. The new owner to which the licence is intended to be transferred to must provide applicable documentation surrounding the operation of the Food Truck as noted in the above required documents.
