...that Karate Lessons start on Monday, September 18, 2017.  Instruction will be provided by Grey-Bruce Ryusei Karate Do at BPDS for all ages (6 years to adult).  Contact Cheri Hofstrand at (519) 793-3522, X222 or for further information. 

...that Bruce County Highways Department is completing rehabilitation work on Bruce Road 9 from Highway 6 to the south west end of Colpoy's, from Hepburn Bridge north of Colpoy's to Purple Valley Road and from Purple Valley Road to Barrow Bay Road.  The work will take place in late August for approximately two months and will include spot improvements, milling, pulverizing and re-surfacing.  There will be intermittent daily road closures and traffic delays during this time.

...that an alternative reporting option is now available with the Ontario Provincial Police.  Citizen Self Reporting allows the public to report specific crimes to police via the internet, anywhere, any time.  The OPP's Citizen Self Reporting system allows members of the public to use a computer or mobile device to report an incident without requiring an officer to attend the scene.  Citizen Self Reporting is simple and convenient and can be used when reporting incidents that do not involve injury or a suspect or a crime that is not an emergency.  The use of this new system is completely optional.  Police will still attend a call for service if desired.  Visit the website yourself to check it out:
